Do I need a purchase invoice to lease my gold?

Not always. You can lease up to a 950 grams even without an invoice.For higher amounts, we may request basic ownership verification. Our team will guide you through it.

Will my gold be melted?

Yes, the gold that you will bring to us will be first checked for its purity & weight, once done it will then be melted in front of you and then again its weight and purity will be checked before leasing it.

What is the minimum gold required for leasing?

There is no minimum quantity of gold required for leasing. You can lease both digitally and physically any gram of gold you have.

What is the duration of the lease?

The standard lease period is 12 months post which you can extend it as per your requirement. You get back your gold (with growth) after completion of this term.

Can I end the lease early?

Yes, early exit is allowed but we recommend completing the full term to maximize your benefits.

Is gold lease the same as a gold loan?

No, they are very different. In a gold loan, you borrow money by pledging your gold and repay it with interest. In gold leasing, you lend your unused gold through myGold and earn gold in return—like earning rent, not paying it.

Can I lease my personal jewellery?

Yes. You can lease gold in the form of jewellery also, even if it’s non-hallmarked. But we normally recommend to lease unused gold or non-wearable jewellery since you will not get it back in the same form.

Will I get back the same jewellery I leased?

Accepted Answer

You won’t get back the same jewellery, as we need to melt it to check purity and give you a fair valuation — this is always done in front of you. When your lease ends, you can get back pure 24KT gold with the same weight you leased, plus up to 5% extra. Both the purity and value are fully recorded and documented.
